I'm totally clueless

The Year 2010

Can You comprehend the year 2010 ? With every passing year, I always ask myself, " What have you accomplished ? Have you evolved into the calm, wise woman you've been longing to become ? And, how much time do you have left ? "
I've designed the Twenty Year Plan, where my goal is to live the best life possible, allowing for all of my vulnerable places, accepting  life on life's terms . Accepting what I can accomplish - rather than wishing for more.

For the next 20 years I'm determined to stop allowing the fear of not being ' good enough ' to rule the day.

Sewing : Clothing and Quilts

When I first started to sew it was because we were on a very tight budget. Over the years I sewed clothing for Katie, Stephanie, and myself. The girls moved from frilly, girly-girl clothing  to designer jeans and T shirts, which were no where near as much fun to sew.
The next thing I wanted was a handmade Quilt. But they were way too expensive. I'm grateful for that because wanting the Quilt pushed me into making Quilts, which led to years of happy sewing. Eventually I went from traditionl designs into my own designs, more of what would be seen as contemporary. Today my interest has turned to drawing clothing designs as opposed to actually sewing anything.

The Eye Of The Beholder

Lots of times it seems like people are either
* Dog People *- or - * Cat People *.
Dog people are loyal to a fault. They have a
tendency towards  being co-dependent. If you do something stupid they always forgive you, no explanations needed. I guess you could call them,
" Dog People, who love too much "

Cat People are loyal only if they think you deserve
their respect. You'll never have to be concerned
regarding dependence because Cat People are adept at getting their needs met. If you act like a fool, forget about winning them over until they're good and ready. I guess you could call them, " Cat People, who are amazingly well adjusted with high self esteem "

What are You : * Cat Person *- or - * Dog Person* ? Perhaps a nice, balanced combination of both ?

Through A Glass Darkly

When I was making this collage my intention was to portray stunning women surrounded by beauty and gold. Sometimes a collage will take you to unexpected places. I have found the best way to go is towards acceptace. Perhaps beauty and gold are mysteriously seductive, seen through a glass darkly ?

At what point do girls learn to be moody and difficult ?" 6th grade was your last good year "- my mom. I can remember deciding that it was time to give up playing with Barbie Doll even though I wasn't ready." Girls going into 7th grade don't play with dolls " -Who told me that ?

Sometimes women and men compete with each other in a way that is disturbing.
I guess, in certain situations, it's about feeling like you're in control ( ? )
Control : An illusion anyway.

Photo Booth

Skip and Beth /w Stephie, in one of those do-it-yourself photo booths. We were on a beach vacation in New Jersey ( Ocean City, I think ? ). Katie wasn't born yet, which would mean Stephie was about three.
