Through A Glass Darkly
When I was making this collage my intention was to portray stunning women surrounded by beauty and gold. Sometimes a collage will take you to unexpected places. I have found the best way to go is towards acceptace. Perhaps beauty and gold are mysteriously seductive, seen through a glass darkly ?

The Man In The Mirror
After this piece was finished all I could think was, " It's ugly ".....The next day I went down into the art room to paint over the whole thing....Then, I don't know, I just started to mess with it, and much to my delight a certain dark beauty began to emerge.....Maybe no one will like this ?.....I'm feeling kind of protective : like, " Awwwww-Have a heart ". Innocent until proven guilty, if you follow.

Project Runway/ " The Body " for Creative Everyday- January 2010
Project Runway is one of my favorite t.v. reality shows. For years I sewed clothes for myself and our two daughters. I know how difficult it is for the designers to meet complicated, original challenges. The creations they sew are *Amazing * .
