I'm facing another possible ( ? ) Mose surgery on my face. Thank the miracles of modern medicine f/ discovering a way to take out the cancer, fill in the empty hole w/ healthy tissue, sew it all up- tight, and in a few weeks time all you have is a small( ish ) scar. I've had 2 surgeries- one on my upper lip and another on my nose.

Congratulations on Your resolve to have a "new attitude". They say it is not our circumstances- but our attitude towards them that determines how we view life and get on in life.
ReplyDeleteI like the saying that a woman growing older is like fine wine- we get better with age!
Sorry to hear You have a cancer on Your face. I am thankful for the wonders of modern medicine. I pray Your surgery will be most successful in every way. ((((((hugs))))))
I think the work of yours I see here is real 'grab you' stuff, I couldn't look and look away. Talented aren't you?
ReplyDeleteI hope the surgery goes well, my Dad has had many growths removed, different to yours, but still I'm glad we live now or I'd have lost him a long time ago.
What a great journal page! I am trying "yes" for this year - to have a more positive attitude!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the surgery - my hubby just had a mole on his face removed in Oct. It is worrying but the surgeon was good!
Happy New Year!
I have noticed lately all the severely gorgeous older women there are walking around, just being themselves. I have been reveling in their reveling. It is changing my attitude toward myself.
ReplyDeleteTHANK-YOU all for responding !
ReplyDeleteI'm still very new to blogging-Whever someone makes a comment I'm thrilled :)
Heckety- You are blessed to still have a father. My dad died of a heart attach @ 67. Missing him is now a part of my life-I'm no longer looking for it to go away. There's a peace in letting go.
When you said that my work is " Real ' grab you ' stuff " I felt extremely pleased . This is my goal-a reaction where people are free to hate what I've done, but never indifferent. We'll see how that goes :)
Beverly- Like you, I could always use a more positive attitude. Saying " yes " going into 2010 is a great plan ! So your hubby has some skin issues too ? The POSITIVE thing about skin cancer is it's so highly treatable.
Julie-I LOVE what you said about " all the severely gorgeous women...walking around, just being themselves"-And how this is changing your attitude toward yourself. One of my #1. favorite subjects to paint and collage are * Beautuful Women *- But, as for myself, I want to be beyond vanity @ this stage in my life. Well groomed is fine- a good haircut makes a BIG difference !
Blessings and Peace,
